On the eve of the release of his much anticipated Debut Album, award-winning Singer/Songwriter Robert Cini has already captured the attention of many national and international music industry professionals.
Vision-impaired since birth with a rare eye condition, Robert has had to overcome the many obstacles life has thrown his way, always determined to never be defined by it. He won an Australian Songwriters Award for his song ‘Haven’t You Noticed’. Giving a show-stopping live performance of the song to an industry strong crowd at the gala ASA awards night in Sydney. The song is off his self-titled EP which has sold well at live gigs, online and currently receives regular airplay on commercial radio in Queensland.
Robert has also been a top 5 finalist/nominee in other major Australian song competitions such as the ‘Musicoz Awards’ and The ‘Glenn Shorrock Music Scholarship Award’. His music was recognized amongst thousands of artists from around the country by one of Australia’s most successful recording artists Glenn Shorrock (‘The Little River Band’) who was quoted talking about Cini ‘”Great voice, engaging commercial sound, fabulous”.. Robert performed along with the other finalists at Lyndoch Uncorked Festival in the Barossa Valley.
His song ‘Running’ was featured as an Editors choice on Balcony TV New York late last year racking up 18k+ views, to go with Finalist spots and Honourable mentions in ‘The Billboard World Song Contest’, ‘We Are Listening’ (Nashville) ‘Song of The Year’ (USA) and ‘The UK Songwriting Contest’.
