Nicosia, Cyprus 2015; Stonus are created and participate in School Of Rock festival in Nicosia. More gigs come with time and the band creates its own material and starts experimenting with its sound.

2017 was the most active year of the band as they played all around Cyprus including Unity fest, Power of the night festival XII, Ayia Napa youth fest, Hard Rock Café Rising, Nicosia Rock Festival, School of Rock and many more as well as opening for the band MINUS ONE. They were presented in national television at RIK-Entexnos as well as in various national radio shows including Astra’s “Alpha ston kiklo”, channel’s 6 “Rolling stones” and at Robert Camassa’s show at RIK 3. They also participated in the auditions for Schoolwave Festival in Greece.

In 2018 they got in the recording studio for one more time and in a month they managed to record their new EP “Lunar Eclipse” under the supervision of Minor Underground (CY). The new album contains influences from stoner, psychedelic and doom rock which integrates to the production of a more mellow, psychedelic trip.

Their first lives abroad were in London on the 22nd of October and 24th of November 2018. In their last gig of the year they opened for the Cretan rockers Balothizer.

In March 2019 they had their first festival appearance abroad in Soundart Festival in Bucharest, Romania among bands such as Planet of Zeus, Riverside, Sunnata and Weedpecker. In summer 2019 they went on a mini tour with 4 gigs in London and Cyprus including Fengaros Festival 2019 in Kato Drys and Ecopolis Festival 2019.

In early August they flew all the way to Stoke-on-trend near Manchester to be reviewed by “The Objective” under the eyes of several industry professionals from the US including the founding member of the band Skillet and the director of RYFO, giving them ratings, reviews and guidance after a 15 minute showcase.

On August 2019 they entered Wreck it Sound Studios in Corinth, Greece and recorded the single “Sweetspot” (Live Recording) and their debut album “Aphasia” (Live Recording) which was released in 6th March 2020 via Electric Valley records. In January 2020 they presented some new unreleased tracks in Nicosia opening for the Greek Heavy Rock legends Nightstalker in a sold out show.

Thei debut album received some great critiques and honourable mentions by doomed and stoned, ranked 18th on doom charts and the single “Mania” was presented in the best 13 heavy rock songs of the week by metal hammer just to name a few and they manage to sell out the first batch of vinyl copies (300) in just two months.

In February 2020 they played to qualify for Bloodstock through metal to the masses, passing the first round (finished first) but the next round was postponed due to COVID-19.
