Being involved with plenty of musical projects through the years, songwriter Mike Goldberg has always had a love for writing and recording. As much as he enjoyed the process, he never really felt the need to utilize his vocals until Voices Below. Setting out to create something he hadn’t quite done before was a long-awaited decision. Writing, recording and performing almost everything himself, Goldberg used the record as a way to express emotions and truths about who he is. At the end of his wholehearted effort, the Stories by the Lake album was born. The release is a testament to where he is at with his sound right now.
