ShareTweet Just Take Hold Colossal Street Jam 4:35 I have a guilty pleasure when it comes to music and that is what I call jam bands. I have no idea it a band like Colossal Street Jame would consider being called a jam band a compliment or not but, believe me when it comes from me it is. I have long loved the musical sensibilities of bands like Yes, Rush, The Black Crowes, Kansas and so on. Not so much because of their style but their sense of improvisation. I can totally see this in Colossal Street Jam. Not only do they have the creativity of improvisation but they have the skillset to masterfully use it to their advantage. This has never been so evident in their new single titled “Just Take Hold”. The song gives a storyteller like musical journey with its roots in the past and its head in the future. This is the new #indie! About Colossal Street Jam Colossal Street Jam is a 5 pc band that was a mainstay in the Asbury Park and NJ scene in the late 80’s to early 90’s.
