‘Pubblicità Riflesso’ is the first single excerpt from “Necessità Interiore”, the third LP by Italian alt-rock act Darman (Dario Mangiacasale), “Pubblicità Riflesso” kicks in with powerful compressed basslines and scratchy vocals.
About the song, author and frontman Dario Mangiacasale comments: “”Pubblicità Riflesso” (“reflection advertisement”) is an urban cross-section, born during a walk through the streets of Turin. It’s about rebellion against a world increasingly distant from primary and necessary needs, a world totally detached from reality, in which the adoration of false and negative myths reigns, often masked as fake positive figures: a rotten mirror of a way of life in which it’s difficult to recognize oneself.”
Darman is the moniker of Dario Mangiacasale, composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Turin, Italy. While influenced by psychedelic rock, and capable of delivering mind-expanding free form suites, he also knows his way as for postpunk and 90s alternative rock, which emerges in his powerful, well-crafted guitar songs.
Mixed at Studio X in Berlin by Dirk Feistel (known for having mixed the likes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club), Necessità Interiore is out on 3rd April via Ayawasca Sciamani Musicali.
The concept of the record is about synesthesia, it’s the celebration of blending between sense organs and different arts; particularly the intertwining and mutual feedback between music and painting.

Active since 2012, he released so far two full-length albums, Four-leaved Shamrock (2015) and Segale Cornuta (2017). The video for single Chioma di Berenice (2017), premiered by renowned Italian webzine OndaRock, has been among the finalists in international film festivals like Near Nazareth Festival 2017, Sarajevo Fashion Film Festival 2017 and Cefalù Film Festival 2018 and success on YouTube with over 138.000 views.
The name he’s been creating for himself and his steady progress since 2012 have already paved the way for Darman to perform on some very prestigious stages, like Concerto del Primo Maggio 2012, Expo Milano 2015, Musaic-On Festival 2017 in Castelbuono (IT), and The Sound Festival 2018 at Innocent in Hengelo (NL), one of the most important venues of the European psychedelic rock scene.
