The infinitely fun and folky Miss Elm have a brand new track to show the world. It’s called ‘Bitter Taste’ and it’s a first taste of their new EP, titled Hybrid, which is set for release later in 2014. But for now, the quirky Gypsy-Pop Quartet are heading out on the road through October to celebrate the release of the single.

‘Bitter Taste’ will be released to the world Friday 19th September.

The single follows two previous music releases, hundreds of gigs, and many, many hours spent in the studio. Miss Elm are now poised to drop their Hybrid EP right onto your ear-drums (and perhaps into your heart).

Bitter Taste is the next phase of Elm; sweet meets dark for a brand-new pop sound! The track explores the bitterness of a jilted lover, a discarded relationship, and the feeling you get when somebody just walks away.

The EP was mastered by Dave Neil and was recorded, mixed, and produced by Michael Carpenter at Love Hz Studios. All of the tracks on Hybrid feature Erin Harrington on lead vocals, piano and ukulele; James Peeters on drums and percussion; James Lord on bass guitar and glockenspiel and Lucinda Bopf on flute, synth, backing vocals and melodica.

The four-piece from Brisbane are hopping to it on the road throughout October in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast, taking in shows at The New Globe Theatre in Brisbane, Petersham Bowls Club in Sydney, The Gasometer in Melbourne and Currumbin Creek Tavern on their journey.

The Bitter Taste single tour kicks off on October 2nd at the New Globe Theatre (Brisbane). Bitter Taste is available for download from September 19. It will be available on iTunes, Bandcamp and all good online retailers.
