Boy Blue drop their new video with Jaret Reddick (Bowling for Soup) called ‘Ghost of Saturday Night’. From the start the mix of mayhem, music, and movie combine to make a video that is solid interpretation of the music at hand.

The guitars chunk to the beat and the rhythm solidifies in unison with the quasi-screaming vocals to accentuate the hook with the rebellion of youth.

About ‘Ghost of Saturday Night’

Of the new track, lead guitarist, Joe Moretti says, “The song title is taken from a Tom Waits lyric, and the song is kind of an interpretation of what that means. It’s about the almost depressing feeling that you get the day after a party with all of your friends when you wake up hungover and everything is just a mess. You wonder if you’ll ever be able to get that high of happiness from the night before ever again, and that feeling really haunts you for a long while afterwards.”

With a strong background of high energy shows (a number of which been shut down by police), plenty of shenanigans on and off the stage, and total disregard for the rules when it comes to creating their art, Boy Blue take pride in going the extra mile to create something positive and memorable out of their music videos, their songs, events, and social media content. For example, the band runs an annual Toy Drive for a local children’s hospital, followed by a Polar Plunge.

Boy Blue recently won “Best Jersey Music Video” in the 2020 Jersey Shore Film Festival, for their “Days On Fire” summer jam. The band looks forward to the next several months of releasing new music and videos, after spending a couple months in the studio with producer, John Ferrara of Trophy Scars.

Boy Blue’s new single, “Ghost of Saturday Night” is perfectly timed for a Halloween release, and features Jaret Reddick, the lead singer of Bowling for Soup.
