Australian singer/ songwriter Jarryd James, who NME says is “already tipped as Australia’s next big breakout star”, and whose sound Ed Sheeran “loves”, will headline his first shows in America this August. James will be bringing his R&B inspired vocals, pop driven electronic beats, and intricate love stories to the Troubadour in Los Angeles on August 3rd and Bowery Ballroom in New York City on August 5th.

“So happy to be announcing my first U.S. shows, and at such iconic venues. The band and I can’t wait to come and share some music with you guys,” said James.

This year has seen the release of two singles from James’s forthcoming debut, due via Interscope Records. “Do You Remember”, the single which Pigeons and Planes called “effortlessly flawless” reached number one on the Australian iTunes and Hype Machine charts and number five on the Global Spotify Chart. He has also teamed with Lorde’s producer Joel Little for the second single, “Give Me Something”, which Idolator called a “heady rush of soul-tinged, retro-leaning pop — albeit with an extremely modern twist.” Australian Vogue noted that the classically trained musician’s “talent is nothing of a coincidence” when they featured James in their July print edition. James’s debut full length is due this year via Interscope Records. Catch him at the Troubador on August 3rd and Bowery Ballroom on August 5th, tickets on sale this Wednesday, July 1st.
