Jammerzine has an exclusive interview with former Saving Abel and Trash the Band frontman and singer/songwriter Scotty Austin.
Scotty is an artist that has naturally honed and harnessed his sound through hard work, creativity, and that rare audacity to make it on one’s own terms. He’s already had and has success. He’s in it for himself, at this point. And, isn’t that the point? Think about it. Your music has the potential to last long after you are gone. This is How Scotty’s music is shaping within his solo career, and has already become in his past projects.
In today’s exclusive interview, we talk with Scotty about that creative drive and motivation and meaning behind the music as well as his new single ‘Money’ and what lay in store with the music. A must see interview that captures the mind behind the musician. Enjoy!
About Scotty Austin
Scotty Austin, the gifted singer-songwriter and former front man for the multi-platinum rock band Saving Abel, has a new, hard-hitting single, “Money” out now on Stryker Records.
Austin says, “‘Money” is tongue and cheek, it’s about making fun of the greed in society right now. Big spending by our politicians, like there’s endless money. I pay taxes! It should go to more important things like mental health, drug addiction and other issues. It’s how I see society right now.”
Scotty is extremely focused on his craft and always creates meaningful, melodic and thought-provoking music that resonates with his fans. He has performed all over the world and is currently touring the country supporting his new music.
“Money” was produced at Universal Music Group’s House of Blues studio in Nashville, Tennessee, by multi-platinum producer Malcolm Springer (Matchbox 20, Fear Factory, Collective Soul).
