Ben Gi is an electronic dance and pop music artist and producer currently based in Atlanta, Georgia USA. Ben’s musical style is an expression of his passion, combining the catchy melodies found in contemporary pop, the big room dance-ability of classic house music as well as the overall appeal and unique flavor of R&B. His music, including singles ‘Illuminous’ and ‘Kick Turn’, is widely available for digital download from most major outlets such as iTunes and Amazon, on most digital streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube Red, as well as in CD format from Amazon Music.
Initially collaborating with local Atlanta talent, Ben Gi has collaborated on musical releases with Mariah Balenciaga (made famous for appearing on RuPaul’s Drag Race S3 and as a professor on RuPaul’s Drag U), Atlanta dance music artist and producer E.D.N.A., as well as the rising vocal talent Jenni B. Expanding his network globally, Ben Gi then went on to collaborate further with the German producer duo AgentsSmith, French DJ Dinamique, Canadian producer Ashix as well as the Scottish pop sensation Scosha.
Ben’s unique musical efforts have not gone unnoticed. Mariah Balenciaga’s dance track with Ben Gi, ‘Mug 4 Dayz’ (Ben being this project’s lead songwriter, sole music arranger & executive producer), was voted the #5 Tribal House track via HouseCharts.net for Sept. 2014. Ben’s electronic dance single ‘Kick Turn (feat. Jenni B.)’ was named the Best Dance / Electronica Song by the Academia Music Awards for Dec. 2015. Ben Gi’s music has recieved regular airplay from several popular internet radio stations including Jango Internet Radio, Live365.com and RelaxFreeRadio.org.
Ben Gi is a writer and publisher member of ASCAP, and his music is released under his independent dance music record label, A Ben Gi Beat.
