Born and raised in Norfolk Virginia D-Rummz has always had music in his blood. “In VA musically speaking, we aren’t south enough to by considered dirty, and we weren’t north enough to be considered East Coast so our sound is a mix yet very unique. The music scene growing up was eclectic and versatile and had a huge impact on my sound.” However, it wasn’t until he moved to Connecticut for school that he became serious about being a community activist and musician. His volunteer work with the Boys and Girls Club of Bristol is well documented but it’s his music that makes him a trendsetter. D-Rummz is one of the only hip-hop artist around who delivers positive vibes and messages through his music. The flagship single “Things Change” from his indie label D-Rummz Music Group, LITERALLY sparked an “Anti-Bullying” Movement in Bristol.
