Although the single speaks volumes for the EP, to get a real understanding of where Don’t Call Me Shirley is coming from, both songs should be heard in their entirety.

“It has definitely taken all the years I’ve been writing and recording to come up with these songs. I’m interested to see what I can do in the future as I get better at the instruments I play now,” says Evans of creating the record.

Don’t Call Me Shirley is the brainchild of songwriter Brett Evans. Standing at the helm of the project, Evans performs all the instruments himself. Honing in his recording technique over time, Evans has finally been able to bring songs to fruition the way they were intended. The Tired / Ashes release is a testament to where he is at with his sound right now.

Tired / Ashes is available now for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets and the artist is currently working on new material for upcoming releases.
