Mike McCleary is a solo rock artist from Northern Ontario, Canada. Having played several instruments since he was a teen, Mike has been inspired by artists and bands across a wide variety of genres and has made an effort to merge several influences into a unique blend of grunge, funk, and rock.

Musically, listeners might notice Mike’s nods to bands like Godsmack, Pantera, and Avenged Sevenfold, or the more subtle traces of the distinct styles of Eric Clapton, Ry Cooder, John Mayer, and Hawksley Workman.

Ultimately, Mike aims to use his music to make listeners think. “Music should evoke a response,” he says, “whether it’s helping you escape from the daily grind, or inspiring you to learn about a topic you would have otherwise ignored. Music can be the perfect forum to open up the dialogue on subjects that would potentially be unwelcome or uncomfortable in a normal conversational setting.”
