Influenced by his brother Slewfoot’s New Orleans street blues (Slewfoot’s Music can be found on http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/slewfoot2). Mr. Mac continues to find inspiration in the endless varieties and genres of music from around the world. He began to write music Portland, where his first gigs were with free-jazz artist Stan Wood (Stan Wood’s album “Vibraband Trio” can be found on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/vibraband-trio/id885613865).
While he still continues to have an interest in experimental and New Age music, he finds the challenges of songwriting to be rewarding, fun, and a justification for his BA in English.
