Nyah was born in Oregon and with the exception of short stays in Michigan and Washington and two years in Paris, France (as her dad changed jobs) she has spent the majority of her time living in Oregon. She comes from a strong and stable family with 3 siblings; her mother and father first met on a blind date 33 years ago and have been together ever since.

Nyah has been performing since she was 7 years old, beginning with local children’s musical theatre. From there she performed in her local town’s “Florence Got Talent”, placing 1st all three years she participated. From there she began singing the National Anthem for audiences as large as 20,000, including for the University of Oregon and the Portland Trailblazers. At just 13 years of age, it was one of those performances at Moda Center for the Trailblazers that caught the eye of Sony Music Writer/Producer and CEO of InRage Entertainment, Bruce “Automatic” Vanderveer. Automatic signed Nyah to his InRage Entertainment label and Nyah and Automatic have been working together since. Since first meeting Automatic and the InRage Team, Nyah has regularly traveled from her small coastal Oregon town to InRage Manor in L.A. every 4-5 weeks to work on writing and recording new music, perfecting her voice and “stage style”, etc. and has done so for over two years.
