The Stone Angels are an Alternative-Rock duo from Torquay, Devon, UK.

After many line-up changes since its formation in 2009, the band now consists of original founding member Dan Hughes (Lead Vocals and Lead Guitar) and Sam McIver (Drums, Bass, and Keyboards). Armed with a Roland SPD-SX, the band are able to re-create the sounds from the studio and transfer them to their live performances.

The Stone Angels incorporate a range of genres to create a classic rock vibe with a modern twist and are often associated with electronic music, hard rock, experimental rock, classical and many others.

Through the dedication and motivation of the band, they have created a strong local fan base as well as up and down the United Kingdom and have gained recognition within the United States and Canada following the success of the first album.

The self-titled debut album ‘The Stone Angels’ released in 2012, has been featured on ‘BBC Introducing Devon’, ‘Deuce Radio Show’, ‘Amazing Radio’ and many more in the UK, ‘cKut FM’ in Montreal, Canada as well as the ‘Sunset Island Music Show’ streamed and aired in Florida, and many more across the USA. The band opened the ‘South West Music Awards 2013’ in Exeter, Devon, UK and were nominated for the ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ Award.

2014 saw The Stone Angels enter the studio to create a new EP with its final line up and more defined sound.

The new EP was released 1st January 2015.
