THIS WORLD is a trio of accomplished, gutsy musicians playing a rich and original combination of classic rock sounds and rhythms, world music, and hymn-like harmonies. LEE KOHLER’S classical training, ROB KOHLER’S jazz experience, and MARK RAYNES’S multicultural percussion set-up interact to create an honestly distinct music. Their First CD, THIS WORLD, combines musical talent with Native American singers, children’s voices, and soprano saxophone. Mixed by Grammy award-winning Cookie Marenco and recorded at a rural Montana studio, the CD is proof that great musicians can collaborate to make great music regardless of geographical location. Also recorded there was the Second Album, BEYOND THE BEYOND.
The Band has just released their Third Album, CELESTIAL SKIES.
