You can often tell when a song is a labor of love for an artist. That is evident in the new track from Harri Endersby titled ‘Breathe’. The song perfectly captures the emotion and earnest intent in Harri’s vocals as well as captures the moment of the meaning within the music. Featuring a score of beautiful acoustic guitar and harmonized strings that give an almost angelic quality while the almost subdued beat gives punctuation and clarity to a lush track. Beautiful.

About Harri Endersby & ‘Breathe’

Following support from BBC 6Music, BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio Wales for her previous releases, Durham folk singer-songwriter Harri Endersby is back with a new single. The stunning Breathe is lifted from her upcoming new album Mazes, and showcases her beautiful vocals and harmonies alongside delicate acoustic guitars and a warm, electronica-tinged soundscape.

“Breathe is a song that’s close to my heart,” explains Endersby. “It’s about healing from heartbreak and finding solace in the simplicity and quiet wildness of nature. I think the simple stuff is really restorative, whether that’s being near the sea, or watching the skies change at the end of the day.” Harri Endersby is a songwriter and musician whose music blurs the lines of the folk genre, drawing inspiration from both contemporary and traditional music, as well as the rugged landscape of County Durham, the place that she calls home.

After releasing her debut album Homes/Lives in 2017, she has toured England extensively, playing venues in every corner of the country. Her lyrics invite audiences to escape from the rush of life and step into the quiet joy of being connected to the natural world.

Harri Endersby’s new album Mazes explores themes of home and belonging, inspired by her deep passion for the North East of England, as well as her ties with the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Co-produced by Harri and her husband Rich Endersby-Marsh, the 9-track album features prestigious folk musicians Ciaran Algar, Toby Shaer, and Ian Stephenson. Mazes will be released on 1st November 2019.
