They say that fine wine ages with time. When I first heard Hegarty’s last single, ‘I Only Dream In Black & White‘, I knew that we had to feature them in ‘The Week In #Indie‘. And now they’re back with their new track ‘Even The Joker Cries Sometimes’. David Hegarty and the gang are clearly storytellers. These songs are of a personal nature and storytellers, in my opinion, make the best songwriters. The song itself is constructed like a personal journey with each subtle instrument acting as a trail and David’s heartfelt soothing vocals becoming your guide.

Hegarty was formed in 2014 when David Hegarty, Waka Stafford, and Chris McKeown decided to record a few songs they had been working on together. Igga Cousins then joined and soon after recruited Alex Tweedle along the way to make our lineup complete and it hasn’t changed much since.
