1. Don't Wish Liberty Ship 3:07

Hot on the heels of their debut single, ‘Learning to Fly’, which was playlisted on radio stations in countries around the world including the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and across the USA from New York to LA, Liberty Ship are set to release their follow-up single, ‘Don’t Wish’ on 8th July 2016.

Hailing from the Sheffield suburbs, which have produced some of the UK music’s most exciting bands, the four piece have already toured with the likes of King Charles (2013) and Reverend and The Makers (2014). They have played their own sold out home-town shows and were picked from over 1500 applicants to open the main stage at last year’s Tramlines Festival. They recently opened for Joe Carnall Jnr at his annual Xmas Show which featured performances from various members of Milburn, Reverend & the Makers, The Subways, The Zutons and Arctic Monkeys and were also asked to open for Milburn at their triumphant sold-out four-night run at O2 Academy Sheffield.

This recent success has led to the band being invited to play some of the UK’s most prestigious festivals in the Summer of 2016, including Isle of Wight Festival, Kendall Calling and the main stage at the increasingly popular Blackthorn Festival, adding further weight to This Feeling / Fred Perry Subculture’s words, who dubbed the band as ones to watch in 2016.

Liberty Ship are producing music that demands recognition – authentic, energetic rock n roll tracks which perfectly capture the wild exuberance of youth, a band to define a generation.

The fantastic artwork for ‘Don’t Wish’ once again comes courtesy of Sheffield’s world renowned graffiti artist, illustrator, and MC; Kid Acne in a continuation of the hugely successful artistic collaboration.

“[Liberty Ship] really are on it at the moment, the new stuff we’ve had through from these lads has been PHENOMENAL!”
Christian Carlisle, BBC Introducing Sheffield
