Mass Sky Raid’s new single ‘Enemy’ will probably make them more friends than opposers. The vast, grand scale rock track takes them to another sonic level – and now it’s time to release it and take it on tour.
The new track comes after months of preparation and work in Loose Stones Studios on Queensland’s Gold Coast with engineers Tyse Lee and Zach Hilton and then on to mix engineer Forrester Savell. The time has come to release the track and tour it down the East Coast.
‘Enemy’ is a breakout track for Mass Sky Raid – a Three-and-a-Half mintue hook-laden track with riffs for days and melodies that are instantly branded to your brain. Again, high production values on the track means that ‘Enemy’ sounds a million dollars and nods to the fact that Mass Sky Raid are on top of their game as one of Queensland’s most promising rock artists.
The polished four-piece are hitting their hometown at Coolangatta Hotel, Brisbane at New Globe Theatre, Worker’s Club in Melbourne, Studio 6 in Sutherland and Factory Floor in Sydney for hard-hitting dates with artists such as Sydonia, Mofoisdead, Opus of a Machine, Kettlespider and more.
MSR released their debut EP ‘Courage Under Fire’ mid 2013 to a hail of positive reviews, with Peter Hodgson of Blunt Magazine stating the EP had “…production that’s so well-realised and high quality that you’ll be finding new musical elements to enjoy, fixate on and obsess over for months.”
The Gold Coast crew have received universal praise for their previous releases – including a 4.5/5 in rock bible Blunt Magazine, play on Triple M, 4ZZZ, 2FBi, 3RRR & 3PBS, over 40 stations in the US, UK, Asia, South America and Europe, including BBC1 & BBC6 in London and the band have supported Dead Letter Circus, Twelve Foot Ninja, UK band I Am Giant and Sydonia.
‘Enemy’ is released online everywhere on Thursday March 5th and the Enemy Single Release Tour kicks off on Friday March 13. For more information, head to massskyraid.com.
