- What Are You Taking Matt Grocott & The Shrives 3:51
Matt Grocott & The Shrives have released their new single “What Are You Taking?” almost as an ode for the indie. Catchy and rhythmic, the song harks to the past of the post-punk pioneers while staying firmly rooted in the 21st century with the hooks and melody it takes to be relevant in today’s world of white noise. Bravo!

About Matt Grocott & The Shrives
Matt Grocott is a young and upcoming singer/songwriter from England who has, over recent years, been able to develop his own unique and entertaining style. He performed with the punk band Dead Commercial between the years 2011 and 2012. After they split, he continued to write and perform solo and acoustic gigs in the Midlands, taking influence in his music from the likes of Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer.
In March 2014, Matt was invited to spend some time recording an album at Jingletown Studios, in Oakland, California, by drummer Joey Armstrong of Emily’s Army. The album was recorded by Grammy award-winning engineer Chris Dugan and produced by Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. On returning from America, Matt teamed up with local rock band Wrecklass Necklass and became Matt Grocott & The Shrives. The Swimmers Tour in August 2014 saw the band play across the UK in support of Emily’s Army, making their debut at iconic venues such as London’s 100 Club and King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow.
