Mellor is back, baby! Well, they never actually left but, when you hear their new track titled ‘Safe Word’, you will get the sense of a triumphant return. The song is that good. Jam-packed with songwriting goodness and filled with lyrical and musical twists and turns the track gives credence to the true adventure this band is having and how they document said adventure into song. And this song is anything but safe!

‘Safe Word’ is set to drop on August 17, 2018. Check out Mellor’s Facebook page for further details and tour dates.

About Mellor
Describing themselves as making indie ‘pop-smack’, Mellor is a four piece from Reading whose sound and image has been compared to that of The Libertines, Arctic Monkeys, and Miles Kane

Gary, Josh, and Evert met at school and the line up was completed when Sam was introduced to them through a mutual friend. Laying the foundations of their songs through Gary’s guitar parts and lyric ideas, the band works collectively to create the sound they’re looking for. Their latest EP ‘Damage/Joy’ was produced by Mo Hausler (Babyshambles, Everything Everything) and the band feels this is their strongest release to date.

Since forming in 2011 Mellor have released three singles and an EP, all of which have gained national radio play courtesy of Absolute Radio and BBC 6 Music. The band has earned glowing reviews from magazines such as NME and Artrocker and have a large and ever-growing fanbase earned through a year of intensive touring and support slots for The Milk, Carl Barat, and The Kooks.
