Owen Denvir officially releases his new single titled ‘This Could Be Love’ from his upcoming EP titled ‘Stones’, set to drop on May 29th.

Continuing that soulful swagger set in his voice as part of his signature sound, Owen further proves that he is more than just a singer/songwriter, but that he is an observer. And what I mean by that is the meaning and message within the lyrics and music. I feel that he has more than written or performed this track. He’s lived it. And that is what makes musicians and artists great. They live what they write. This song is way too short, in my opinion. Listen again.

About Owen Denvir & ‘This Could Be Love’

‘This Could Be Love’ is a primarily acapella indie/pop ballad. It’s about suddenly seeing a friend differently after dropping your guard during a weird dream. All the samples were created either through voice, audio glitches, vocoder, or household objects while in lockdown in my home studio. The music video helped me to vent repressed desires of wanting to travel again – with stitched together stock footage from train windows around the world.

About the album, Owen says…’The album and EP trilogy idea is based on Sigmund Freud’s theory that personality is a sum of 3 parts: the Id (acting on raw impulse), the Ego (being terrified of consequences) and the Superego (the balance between the two).

The first EP (‘Sticks’) deals with loss and delusion and the impulsive decisions we make while in the spell of ‘love’. The second (‘Stones’) being a more confident but brash take on love, and finally, the last EP (‘Bones’) is when you have the balance between the two, which mostly leads to more healthy relationships .’

With over 100,000 streams on Spotify, combined video views of over 2 million, music shared by Coldplay and supporting the legend Dodie……Belfast born, Owen Denvir at only 29 has asserted himself as one of the finest singer-songwriters around.
