With a marching beat like a pounding anthem that slides into the chorus like a musical home run, The New Tarot drop a tune bomb with their new single “Mistake To Choose”. I love this song! Had to say it. It’s a time bomb that goes off over 3+minutes and never lets up. The New Tarot, made up of sisters Monika and Karen Walker, give the listener the impression at first listen that they have been around a lot longer than they really have been. Not just musically, but “experiencely” (is that a word?). You can hear the musical professionalism and clarity of vision within every note. Expect great things from this duo.

About The New Tarot
Fronted by sisters Monika and Karen Walker, The New Tarot are on a mission to deliver a philosophical, post-pop take on alt-rock. Using melodic sensibilities and yearning questions, the two sisters have been writing music together from a very young age. Karen is a renowned pianist and spent some time at the Hart School of Music studying composition while Monika plays guitar and has a background in philosophy and artificial intelligence. Five years ago they began to record and perform together under the name The New Tarot, and eventually, they assembled a finely tuned musical machine, utilizing the awesome abilities of Beth Callen on lead guitar, Dave Kahn on bass and Chas Langston on drums.

They have released 4 Eps, 7 singles and one live album and are set to release their first full-length studio album later this spring. The New Tarot is based out of New York City, and have played many of the area’s popular venues; from Webster Hall, The Bowery Electric, and LPR, to a sold-out show at Union Pool Hall and dozens more.
