About Wølfdarling
Wølfdarling is an intricate and unique alternative rock band from Detroit MI., who have a new single, “Chemical Violence” dropping October 15 ,2021. The general elements and emotions that embody Wølfdarling include: tragic and gloomy, organic and primal, as well as showing bravery in the face of hopelessness.
Wølfdarling consists of brothers Sam Urich (guitar, piano and vocals), Jack Urich (bass). Jason Hartless filled in on drums for “Chemical Violence”.
Sam says, “This song is a conversation between myself and my mind. Everything beautiful, everything frightening. I am trying to come to terms with my mental status and I speak about the medicine I was on while writing the song and the fact that it did not help me. This left me grasping in the dark for elusive answers. The imagery is colorful, yet gloomy, “I need this violence, I need all of you” sung at the end, brings reconciliation and understanding to the darker parts of my mind and speaks upon the vast inspiration that comes from my sorrow.”
“Chemical Violence” was produced by Chris Ahn and Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) and recorded at Pearl Sound Studios in Canton, MI, and Ahn’s studio in Los Angeles, CA.
