Full rich Americana from across the pond is what the British duo known as Delta Howl has delivered in their new video for the track titled “Reach The Shore”. And it is delivered with the honest and earnest sincerity that only heartfelt songwriters can craft. As the title suggests, this is a travelling song sung through the hearts of well traveled troubadours on a search for a new beginning. The laid back, folksy rock / country tinged song soothes the heart while serenading the ears with every melodic twist and turn that the layered guitar chords and twangy slide-work like a road weary guide straight out of a delta based Homer’s Odyssey.

About Delta Howl
Since coming together in mid- 2016, Grant Ashman and Mark Neat—known collectively as Delta Howl—are looking to establish themselves as one of music’s most promising acts. Their debut single, “Reach The Shore”, shows a musical act ready for the journey ahead.

The duo both grew up in the small town of Dudley, in the heart of The Black Country, England. The pair first met during a live music showcase in the West Midlands over 8 years ago and since then worked diligently on various music projects.

During mid 2016 the duo re-united and spent the rest of that year writing and recording the material that has become Delta Howl.

“Reach The Shore” was recorded, mixed and mastered by the duo in their own studio. It’s the first single of a 5 track EP which is due to be released in the summer of 2017. ‘It’s a thought provoking song, something that takes listeners on a journey. We wanted to paint a picture with the song and let the listener really feel a raw emotion’ says vocalist Grant.

From the introductory acoustic guitar and hand claps, it’s easy to go along for the ride, with the bands influences of Folk, Heartland Rock and Country on show throughout the track it’s evident to see that the audience will become enthralled to the group choruses and “Reach The Shore” will become a song that really does get stuck in your head.

‘We have huge ambitions and milestones we want to hit, the passion and belief is there so who knows what can happen in this crazy, exciting world of music’ says Mark.

“Reach The Shore” is available now on all major digital retailers.
