Critically-acclaimed British electro-clash band Zoot Woman are proud to release their music video for new single “Ordinary Face.”. The track deals with feelings of insecurity and the need to connect. The video’s concept is #nomakeup and features “Zoot fans,” instead of actors, showing different faces and emotional expressions.

Following a sold-out European tour and festival appearances around the world, Zoot Woman headed back to the studio to begin work on the tracks that would become the album Absence. Adam Blake, Johnny Blake & Stuart Price release their latest full-length album on June 16th worldwide. Described by singer Johnny as “our most sincere and personal album so far”.

After launched onto the scene in 2001 with their debut album, Living in A Magazine, as one of the premiere electro-clash bands, their subsequent releases have received acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork (7.5), Stereogum, NME, The Quietus, and PopMatters. With their fifth album, Zoot Woman displays an inherent timelessness and their own modern aesthetic.

Absence kicks off with the infectious single ‘Solid Gold’, followed by the introspective ‘Ordinary Face’, regret- fuelled ‘I Said It Again’ and 60’s soul inspired ‘Haunt Me’. Adding to the arsenal of synthpop, a contribution from Kylie Minogue who features on the epic ballad ’Still Feels Like The First Time’.

Adam and Stuart share production duties, melding elements of rock, 80’s and 90’s pop with electronica. The resulting sound contains some of the most uplifting pop melodies they’ve ever delivered, proving them to be genre-defying artists for the 21st century.

In the final album track, ‘You Said The Day Would Come’ Blake sings, “captivated one by one”. And as if by magic, each track does just that.
