Redhanded are a four-piece independent rock band from London in the United Kingdom. Comprising of Sohail Ajaz (Vocals), Faizan Baig (Guitars), Adil Azim (Bass) and Saif Malik (drums). The band formed in 2015 between friends jamming on weekends at the iconic Enterprise Studios on London’s Denmark Street. While they initially mostly played 90’s rock covers, the band found a unique energy in the room and quickly started writing their own music. A powerful aural fusion emerged from their individual influences, combining classic rock & roll, melodic blues and metal into a sound that electrifies the room. Packed with energy and always the loudest band on the bill, Redhanded have performed at some of London’s finest underground venues.
Following on from their debut single, the haunting ‘Exit’ and the mysterious sophomore single ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ , four-piece alt rock band Redhanded are back with their third, fiery new release ‘Bottom’.
Accompanied with a bold and tenacious black and white video filmed in an abandoned building, the visual features close ups of each member through a hazy, lo-fi gaze and quick change camera shots, all adding to the air of intrigue, attitude and the underground edginess Redhanded are cultivating.
Commencing with clean, crisp drums, the undulating electric guitar riffs soon take center stage, ringing out into the musical cosmos they set the pulsating, driving tone of ‘Bottom’. The bass and guitar dance together before the slick, husky vocal growls across the track commanding attention. With a powerful “Let’s Go”, ‘Bottom’ kicks off.
Showcasing a clear knack for writing infectious top-lines and epic guitar shredding, Redhanded have established an incredible chemistry as a band which is prominent throughout every track and live performance. Punchy and perfectly layered, each instrument has its distinctive place and they mesh together as one full frontal energetic force. With talented musicianship at the vanguard, Redhanded stay true to the nature of their influences.
Having managed to harness the classic sound of an era all whilst injecting their own unique and inviting twist. Redhanded delivers gritty Rock N Roll at its finest, boasting high energy, electrifying guitar solos that speak to your soul and drenched with deep, dark, moody lyricism. Thick with nostalgia, they execute and emanate that ever elusive 90’s rock sound with incredible authenticity and prowess.
Formed in 2015 and recognised for tearing up the live circuit around London, Redhanded have rightfully become familiar faces in the alt rock scene.
Now ready to share their unique, eclectic take on Rock N Roll, melodic Blues, Metal and nostalgic 90’s alt rock, Redhanded are gearing up to release their debut album ‘Retrograde’ a ten track masterpiece collection of songs they have carefully crafted and fine tuned since the band’s inception. Having pushed the boundaries of their own artistic influence and personal vulnerability, they infuse their music and songwriting with layers of authenticity and an undeniable intense, richness of sound.
