Viva Death
Viva Death is a band that gets straight to the point musically, and the music never lets up. Saturated in grit and laminated in rhythm, ‘Ready to Go’, the new single from Viva Death from the upcoming album ‘Illuminate’, goes right from the start and does not let up for a single note with a rapid-fire combination of hooks and heart with a sonic assault on the senses that will leave one humming long after the player has shuffled to the next track.
Viva Death is a recording project with an evolving cast of collaborators and an audacious vision of 21st-century rock music. Having started as a baritone-guitar driven project spearheaded by Scott Shiflett and Trever Keith of Face to Face, the lineup came to also include Scott’s brother Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters), omnipresent drummer Josh Freese (The Vandals, Devo, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, Weezer), and producer extraordinaire Chad Blinman (Face To Face, Jarboe, Faith and The Muse, Saves The Day, The Get Up Kids).
