As if sent as more of a metal massacre than as an album release, Novacaine Nothing’s new effort, “Noughts and Crosses” is about to drop like a nuclear bomb onto the very conscious of the metalcore scene and not give a shit about who it even hits. That’s the only kind of reckless abandon that can even make an album of this magnitude because it doesn’t even let up in it’s assault. It’s best to just surrender to the riffs if you know what’s good for you.

About Novacaine Nothing:
London based Novacaine Nothing are bringing their own take on metal to a wider audience this year with their first major release. The ‘Noughts and Crosses’ EP featuring lead single ‘Closure’ is a heady mix of grunge, rock and nu metal in the style of Slipknot, Korn and Stone Sour.
The lads are from various places around the globe including Russia, Canada, Hong Kong and France but have all come together through a passion for music. Having played with UK metal acts Death Koolaid, Cryptic Anger, Assimilate and big names such as Exist Immortal, Novacaine Nothing are carving a name for themselves in the fiercely competitive UK metal scene.
The band has gone through many struggles to create upcoming EP ‘Noughts and Crosses’ and this release is an amalgamation of all their influences and experiences. Having been through 3 drummers, 4 vocalists, 5 bassists, and 4 guitarists and with members struggling with depression and addiction Novacaine Nothing have channeled all the negative influences in their lives and changed it into artistry for the release ‘Noughts and Crosses’.
“Noughts and Crosses” is a metaphor for ups and downs, wins and losses or pains and triumphs one procures over time. The opening track ‘Kill You’ is about the notion of duality in personality when one is an addict. Second track ‘Smiling’ tackles depression and people’s perception whilst ‘Generation’ is a brilliantly generic ‘fight’ song about letting the world burn. Final track ‘Closure’ is about finding perfection in finality, to come to the end of the road and to transcend it.
