Originally spawning from a school project, Bugjar ended up being much more than anyone expected. Writing their first song in 2014, the beginnings consisted of 2 guitarists bouncing ideas off of each other to see what happened. Once the lineup was complete, the shoegaze influences began growing into what became a staple for the band’s sound. The “Purl” EP is a testament to where they are at with their sound right now.
Bugjar has been featured by blogs, radio stations, and even on Bandcamp’s “Discovery Weekley” section giving them a chance to start getting their name out into the world.
