Sharon is the latest single written and produced by Maryam Zadeh. With a blend of Rock, Cabaret and dark soulful vocals, Zadeh pays tribute to the late actress Sharon Tate who was best known for her role in the 1967 cult classic “Valley of the Dolls” As Maryam stated, “It was Sharon’s beauty, innocence and the shadow that lingers over her name that compelled me to write this song.

Zadeh’s professional music career began in 2005 when she became the front singer for the Canadian Dance Band TAPPS whose song “My Forbidden Lover” went on to become one of the best-selling Hi-NRG records worldwide reaching the #2 spot single in Holland on the dance chart. For 13 years, Zadeh toured with the band that was part of her childhood musical backdrop. In 2018, Zadeh left the band to pursue a solo music career. As she candidly stated “It was a wild and fun ride but I felt it was limiting my own unique artistic expression.

Currently, Zadeh resides in Arcadia, California. She is in the studio recording her first album entitled “The Children’s Hour”. This album is a compilation of experimental tracks that can best be described as a nostalgic blend of Rock, Cabaret and Dark Wave embellished with lyrics and melodies that evoke darkness, romance, and an awakening of the soul.
