ShareTweet Symmetrix formed in Melbourne, in 2013 with the purpose of creating a sound that would combine both her love of electronica with indie pop and a bit of rock music thrown in for good measure. Symmetix music draws influence from 80’s inspired synth pop acts such as Depeche Mode, The Human League and more recently Crystal Castles, Chvrches, The Midnight Juggernauts and The Presets through to alternative/shoegazing/indie rock pioneers My Bloody Valentine right through to indie pop band Tegan and Sara. Symmetrix released her self-titled EP in August 2015 which has received airplay on Melbourne radio, interstate community radio in Australia, as well as on international internet radio. Symmetrix performs regularly in venues around Melbourne and country Victoria in Australia. From making beats on a laptop, the Symmetrix sound has evolved into the layered samples, beats, guitars and the electro pop that you hear today.
