Taiwo Sule (Tysu) was born in Nigeria where he spent half of his adolescent age prior to moving to the neighboring, French-speaking West African country, the Republic of Benin. Tysu went to boarding school in which he found his love for performing.

Tysu was part of the performance team that on frequent occasions embarked on the 190-mile journey from the Republic to Lagos City representing his school in competitions in which he performed in French. He was known as the “School Cowboy.” Tysu moved to the U.S. in 2001 and finish high school at Colonia High School in New Jersey.

His love for entertainment he first saw in 2001 on VH1, BET, and MTV inspired him and instilled his passion for the music industry, not knowing that X years later, these same platforms would be featuring his music.

Although Tysu’s passion is music, he was always working to fulfill that passion – From YMCA, a waiter and server at party functions, private tutoring to having his first million-dollar real estate sale at only 21-years-old.

While he was working 9-5 and overtime jobs, he was also fulfilling his education first at Montclair State University for his undergraduate studies, then New Jersey Institute of Technology for graduate school – all while recording and crafting his vocals to be the artist he is today alongside his producer, Mr.Lab who has worked alongside Monica.

Tysu’s musical writing inspirations come from personal experiences and feelings, while his melodies come from his interaction with people. Tysu’s mind is constantly composing and he hopes to use his passion rhythms from dancing and his international music to create something no other artist has created before.
