1. An Interview with Dar.Ra Jammerzine Exclusive 1:11:28

Dar.Ra is a musician/artist with many talents. That is totally evident on his new EP titled ‘Dirty Lil Secrets‘. The diversity is clearly evident in the 4 tracks, and that’s just four tracks. What attracted Dar. Ra, to me, was the intricate detail within his tracks and how he weaves his influences and creativity of his songwriting with the techniques of his musicianship.

Today we talk to Dar about these things as well as his beginnings, his time spent on major labels, the differences between being part of a band and going solo as well as the future and where he is steering it. Enjoy!

About Dar.Ra
Dar.Ra has been part of the music industry for some time, signed to EMI and various dance labels over the years as well as remixing Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Tears For Fears, Savage Garden and writing for Rachel Brown (Faithless, Groove Armada). Dar.Ra has also had music featured in various Hollywood films including Samuel L Jackon’s blockbuster ‘Snakes On A Plane’ and British TV shows like ‘Match Of The Day’ (BBC TV).

His first solo album ‘Soul Hours’ was released in 2010 and made the album of the week on Spain’s Heart FM as well as receiving support from BBC Radio 1.

Da.Ra is also an author, his first book ‘Road Tales’ has been getting brilliant reviews and is based on people he met while being on the road from the late 1990s to 2008. There is a follow-up book titled ‘The Night That Time Died’ which has also just been released through Kusha Deep Publishing/Amazon.
