Just some good ole’ boys sitting in a barn picken on some guitars. It can’t get better than that. The performance Lance Stinson puts on is enough to bring home the cows. Backed up by Jimmy Wayne Renfro. In 5 words I’d say, “Some Good OleCountry Boys,” would sum it up. Check out what Lance had to say during our interview.

Where are you originally from?
Lumber City, GA

When did you start performing music?
I started singing in church at the age of 8. My first band was at the age of 14.

Which instruments do you play?
Guitar

Describe your music interests and abilities.
I like various genres but my passion is country music.

What famous musicians inspire you?

Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Garth Brooks, & Hank Williams Jr.

What are some of your best musical memories?
At the age of 19, it was my first gig playing at the county fair. There were tables set up with paper table cloths and had candles on each table. I got so caught up in the music and the crowd cheering me on…. I stepped off the stage and stood on top of one of the tables during a song, knocked over a candle, and caught the table on fire.

“Now that is something I will never forget!”

What public events do you have coming up?
Feb 13thJesup GA. – VFW

Feb 14th – Vidalia, GA – OC Lounge

Bigger events – CMA Fest – Nashville – June 11-14th

What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?
If music is your passion, then you should never be nervous.

“The more you play, the better it gets.”

How do you balance your music with your family and friends?
It’s difficult at times, but make sure you have a strong team that will support you.

“Family always comes first!”

Should we expect anything new to be released?
I am working on my 2nd CD. Currently we are in the studios recording. Hopefully by the end of the summer/early fall, it will be released.

Do you get nervous before a performance?

No.“I get excited.”

Do you attend jam sessions?
Not really….. I like to be well organized and rehearsed. When fans come out to a show, I want to give them my best and not be a “fly by the seat of my pants” artist. They are paying to see a show and that is what I will give them.

“Something they can walk away with and always remember.”

How do you handle mistakes during a performance?
First, try not to make it obvious.

“Always improvise!!”

Who’s your biggest supporter?

My mom. 🙂

What’s your favorite song to do and why?

“Taillights & Dust.” “It’s fun and energetic.”

Reminds me of where I grew up and my deep southern roots.
