Only Okay, a.k.a. Griffin Shiminski, has released his new EP titled ‘Me’, as part of his ‘release an EP a month’ regimen. To say that’s easy would be a bold faced lie. To say it’s hard would be an understatement. To keep it interesting would be impossible. But he pulls that off.

From that ‘press play’ moment I became fascinated. The opener, ‘Big’, takes the groove and infuses it to the bombastic lyrics with the ease of a professional and the enthusiasm of a child. Brilliant. But wait, there’s more. There is diversity.

‘Cardinals’ feels nothing like ‘Big’. Yet, everything fits. Could this be either an artist so diverse that he can genre hop? Or does he put music out there that he would listen to whether he was involved or not?

Those make the best artists. ‘Me’ is for ‘us’.

About Only Okay

Releasing a new EP each month, Griffin Shiminski, also known as Only Okay, has been busy at work on his latest release for June called, Me, out now. It’s a four song EP that showcases the various sides of Only Okay as well as the different styles of his music.

Griffin says, “The theme of the Me EP is being yourself, unapologetically. I am not a one dimensional person and I believe it is best to be as well-rounded as possible. The biggest takeaway from the Me EP is that life is about doing what you love and not being afraid to show the world what you can do.”

Only Okay works tirelessly at a restaurant 6 days a week from 3-11 or 12, so he can do his passion, which is music. Before work he is writing verses, when he gets home he is either recording what he had had just written or write some more.

Griffin says, “We have another EP scheduled to drop July 28th, which will feature even more collaborations, as well as some more music videos planned for July. The next music video will be for, “Who Done It” followed by one off of the Me EP. I have been playing more shows recently and will definitely have some more of those in the future. We recently just got some new merch that you can expect to see on my website soon too.”

Me EP was produced by Super-Producer/Engineer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) at legendary Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter).
