Royals have today returned with a new video titled ‘Daydreamer’. Royals have always been a heavy hitting type of band for me, personally. What I get with ‘Daydreamer’, however, is that next step. A mega-monster hook overlayed a powerful rhythm with a helluva backbeat and harmonic vocals that are rarely achieved at this caliber.

While the video is fun to watch, it’s also memorable. Too many throw-away type videos out there for songs that deserve more, it’s pleasing to see as much effort go into the visuals that match the sonic blis that is ‘Daydreamer’.

About Royals

Drawing comparisons to the likes of state champs and neck deep, their unique blend of classic pop-punk sounds and catchy hooks with synths, electronics and breakdowns is only enhanced further by their live performance and tireless stage presence, not to mention working with the scenes top producers on their music – Seb Barlow (Neck Deep, WSTR), Jon Lundin (Point North, Good Charlotte), Matt O’Grady (You Me At Six, Deaf Havana), Grant Berry (Stand Atlantic, All Time Low) and Clint Murphy (Enter Shikari, Busted).

Royals short history already includes two ep releases and punk goes pop covers amongst a plethora of singles which have all been heard by a growing platform the band have naturally developed – surpassing almost a million streams, heavy radio play, Spotify editorial playlisting and spots on several tours and shows around the UK. Alternative Press named them amongst 10 rising UK pop-punk bands you need to hear, and one of 13 artists who are reclaiming the pop-punk music scene in 2021.

In 2023 the band went on their first headline UK tour and were clearly in high demand with packed venues including sold out dates in London, Leeds and Southampton.
