Like a Paperplane is an instrumental ambient post-rock band, formed in Italy in 2011.From the very beginning the band dedicates to compose their own songs and in 2012 publishes their first EP “Light”, produced by Toku Katayama at All Music in Florence.Hereafter the EP, which was released only in digital format (in free download via Bandcamp, iTunes, CdBaby, LastFm), gains a recognition all over the world, both from critics and listeners.
In spring 2013 the band announces line-up changes with Marco Adoni replacing Samuele Arena (guitar) and Roman Dagner instead of Francesco Nocentini (bass).
The line-up changes were a final step into the shaping of the band’s sound and the composition of new songs, charactarized by even more ambient and a masterly used electronic sounds, all in charge of designing new dreamy soundscapes.
In November 2013 the band has recorded its first LP at Mathlab Studio, guided by Jonathan Mazzeo with Lorenzo Guddemi.
The album will be released in September 2014 by the Overdub Recordings label (alternative department of Worm Hole Death).
