Skumlove has today premiered their new video for the Judas Priest remake track titled ‘Turbo Lover XL’ featuring Carlton BostPatrick Kennison & DJ Rattan, which drops September 25th.

I can’t help but say that Skumlove has officially rebranded BDSM, which now stands for ‘Big Dystopian Sexy Music’. Having said that, the video is an immersive experience filled with excess and experience, Skumlove take the Judas Priest classic to a different level with a re-envisioning in the veins of a post industrial ‘Lost Boys’-ish party where all the cool rejects showed up and the preppies and jocks stayed at the mall out of fear.

I originally wanted to do almost a scene by scene of the original Judas Priest video but when Vicente Cordero came aboard, it took a complete different turn. We went more for the Road Warrior or beyond Thunderdome Kind of look to it.

We did not have a huge budget, so everything was built by us as a band. I am Chapter president of a Lowrider bike club. So I had to put in one of the bicycles. To give a little props to the original video. We just posted online that we were making this video and all these people showed up and it was an amazing time and everybody was cool.

We had friends doing make up for us. We all got our best cyber punk look on and just made a great time at the whole situation, and I think it came out amazing. Big props to Vicente Cordero and Schecter Guitars for letting us use their area to shoot a video.

Directed by Skum Love and Vicente Cordero, filmed and edited by Industrialism films.

About Skumlove

Skumlove is a post punk dark rock band from Los Angeles California. The band has been at the forefront of the LA music scene for many years with a worldwide following. They have put out numerous independent releases as well as two full albums; Songs of Lust and Corrosion and Sinister Minister.

They combine classic punk rock ethics with a heavy rock Groove bordering on metal industrial. Never one to jump on a bandwagon but rather A band that sticks to their own ethos and play what they want. Lyrically Skumlove keeps it very tongue-in-cheek, sexually fueled with dark puns.

The band has toured and played with some of Rock’s elite artists Danzig, Ministry, Lords of Acid, CombiChrist, Type-o-Negative, prong and Static-X.

Skumlove’s Live shows take it to another level with choreographed backing singers, visuals and an IN YOUR FACE performance rarely seen these days. Skumlove has no signs of slowing down and has only gotten better with time.

If hell had a house band Skumlove would be it.
