If Joe Symes and the Loving Kind are the heir apparent to The Beatles then The Deadline Shakes have most definitely picked up the torch from E.L.O., re-lit it, and took off like a symphonic bat out of hell. I highly suspect that Jeff Lynne reformed E.L.O. because he saw The Deadline Shakes. But don’t let that fool you, this band very well stands on it’s own two well-grounded feet as “Zealots” whole-heartedly proves. The album is simply amazing. Check out our original review HERE.
