As if coming from a self emanating “wall of sound” Italy’s Rev Rev Rev achieve a near fantasy level of musical bliss with their new album “Des Fleurs Magiques Bourdonnaient”. There is a new wave of the shoegaze invasion and Rev3 appear to be at the forefront. To say shoegaze, however, may be a bit of a misnomer as that tends to pigeonhole the truly talented into a specific genre and to do that to a band of Rev3’s caliber would be a crime. Just listen to the previews and judge for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

“Des Fleurs Magiques Bourdonnaient” is out now via Custom Made Music! You can buy the album HERE.

About Rev Rev Rev

Des Fleurs Magiques Bourdonnaient
Des Fleurs Magiques Bourdonnaient

Hailing from Modena, Italy, Rev Rev Rev’s sound is influenced by first-wave shoegaze, as well as psychedelic rock, re-metabolizing these elements into a loud, woozy, fuzz-driven context. Their live sets comprise kaleidoscopic video projections waving with music, and the use of self-constructed stomp boxes, producing weird sounds.

Their first self-titled album, released in October 2013, received lots of positive feedback from press, webzines and independent radios. “Rev Rev Rev” was number 3 on the 2013 Shoegazer Alive Top 10 and was included in several other 2013 charts.

Since September 2013 Rev Rev Rev have toured across continental Europe and UK.

“Rev Rev Rev” has been nominated as best self-produced album by PIMI (Premio Italiano Musica Indipendente) and in January 2015 their live set has been designated by 200 Italian art directors as one of the best live shows around.

A song from the album has been included in “Revolution – the shoegaze revival” compilation (Ear to Ear Records / Gerpfast Collective), supported by Joe Foster (co-founder of Creation Records), Graham Bonnar (Swervedriver/ Brian Jonestown Massacre) and many others. In March 2015 they took part in the TBTCI Records tribute compilation to Ride “Leave them all behind” with their cover version of “Polar bear”.

Their second LP, titled “Des fleurs magiques bourdonnaient” (a quote from the Illuminations by Arthur Rimbaud), will be released on 19th February 2016 via Kinotone Records (Europe/UK), Custom Made Music and Northern Light Records (North America).

During the promotional tour, the band will be playing Cosmosis Festival 2016 in Manchester, headlined by The Jesus and Mary Chain, Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Raveonettes, of Montreal, Wire, Sleaford Mods.
